What do you get when you have 2 beautiful people, they get all dressed up in the wedding attire and they choose an amazing location for their aftershoot?….you get this…

Brooke and Peter wanted to go over and beyond just beautiful wedding portraits. They wanted the chance to put back on their wedding dress and suit and Brooke wanted the chance to have her hair and make up done. After all of that, we spent a couple of amazing hours touring and photography them on location at the Charleston, WV Capital.

With all the marble, columns and the amazing dome ceiling it truly sets the background for amazing photography.

Military families: people that are near and dear to our heart. The military is actually who brought us together. Relocating Scott from the west all the way due east he landed in Virginia. That is not the only reason that it is dear to us. We have the highest respect and honor for these families. What they give, no one will ever understand. Meet Emily and Shayne. Married, pregnant and now deployed for 7 months, deployed without being able to meet his brand new baby girl until she is 6 months old…that’s unselfish giving.

Ah…it’s Tuesday afternoon and love is in the air. We just love the fact that we get to document people’s lives through photography. Britt and Da Niel are on the path to heading to the alter and they have entrusted us with their memories. On a Friday afternoon, we got to stroll around the beautiful downtown Norfolk are captured some awesome urban and historic areas with this beautiful engaged couple! We love the chance to do on location photography, especial outdoor photography when the weather is as beautiful as the couple that we are shooting.

We love it when we get the opportunity to do an outdoor photography session, especially when it is a destination couples session. We had the opportunity to photograph Dan and Jennifer on the beaches of Tampa St. Pete. What a beautiful area of the country. It was also an honor since they are fellow photographers. We love the opportunity to photograph other photographers! Well, give us a beautiful couple, on a beautiful beach, match that with a beautiful sunset and…. here ya go. Where do I start?… How can we ever repay military families for what they do? Their sacrifice goes beyond anything that could ever be paid monetarily. What they do for our country is amazing. We have the opportunity to photograph many military families that are on the cusp of deployment that includes a family separation. These days families are separated for 8+ months and longer. Generally we photograph these families 1 month prior to their deployment. While photographing these families, my mind is always reeling about the family that will be left behind. Meet the O’Connor family. Amazing people, amazing family, amazing sacrifice.

So you’re 2 years old and it’s your birthday, so what do you do…you schedule your 2 year old portrait session of course! We have been blessed to document little Kaiya since she was just conceived. Following her mommy and daddy since they were 2 months pregnant, through their pregnancy, then the birth, 1st birthday and now the 2nd birthday of their precious gift. We got to spend a beautiful morning at the beautiful location of the Hermitage Museum. Documenting lives is what we do. What a great job we have!

One of the great things about having a portrait studio in a coastal area is being able to do outdoor portrait session at the ocean front. It gets even better when you are in an area that has the beach and a beautiful downtown setting. We had the privilege of capturing Caroline and Brandon’s engagement session. What a great place for photographs and what a great couple!

Ahhhh…couples portraits. What can I say? Capturing the love between a man and woman….priceless. On Saturday we had the chance to stroll around our amazing downtown area to capture some portraits for Kelly and Rob. What a great time and and what a great way to spend an afternoon. Hanging out with our clients is something that we love to do. Getting to know each one of them and building a relationship is the core of what we do. Capturing amazing portraits, that’s what we do too.

We love the chance to capture a family’s life in the form of family portraits. Taking outside family portraits is always fun especially when you have a place so close to the studio like the Pagoda Gardens in downtown Norfolk. We had a chance to do just that with the Curry family. There was a chill in the air, but the sun was shining, which made for a wonderful shoot. Check out the Curry family’s outdoor family portraits!
